Autumn Planting Event
Date: Sunday 2nd March 2025
Time: 7:00am – 10:00am
Location: Sanananda St Park, Sanananda St, Centenary Village, Darra.
- Join our “Cleanup Australia” day.
- Get a free coffee and help us plant 600 native plant seedlings in the pre-dug holes.
- Tools are provided.
- Please wear enclosed shoes, long pants, long sleeves and hat.
- Bring your own drinking water.
- An adult family member or friend must accompany all children.
Spine Street Community Planting Event
Date: Sunday 25th May 2025

Location: Spine St Park, Sumner.
WaCC is partnering with BCC to organise a fun morning with a range of stalls and events. This event is funded by the Federal Government Urban Rivers Grant.

Past Events
Presentation: “The Invasive Species Front Line”
Who: Guest Speaker, Reece Pianta
Date: Thursday 20th February 2025
Time: 5:30pm
Location: 100 Wolston Rd, Wacol.
- Invasive species as a cause of biodiversity and habitat loss are a primary driver of extinction.
- Reece Pianta is Advocacy Manager at the Invasive Species Council.
- Reece holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Central Qld University and is an experienced public policy campaigner in both government and non-government roles.
